Mostly Equilibrium Calculations, acid/base reactions, thermo chemistry, organic chemistry and Redox half-reactions.

Hello! That's a whole lot of stuff you're supposed to learn, there. Just thermodynamics and organic chemistry combined is enough for 8 ECs here. Anyway, hopefully you know the basics as that is where it all starts.

Chemical equilibrium: keep in mind that k differs only per temperature. Also remember that k = concentration products over concentration reactants, and that you need to factorize for how many molecules are represented in the mixture. Also remember how you can find out the k for different temperatures. (Most ks are noted for 25C.)

Acid/base reactions: just keep your eyes on the table, very carefully check it twice to see if you indeed have the strongest acid or base available. Watch out for chlorine ions (Cl-), those like to screw your answer.

Thermodynamics: keep in mind the laws of thermodynamics. Mind the signs of your answers. Keep in mind variables which are functions of state (temperature, volume, pressure, internal energy, enthalpy, entropy, Gibbs free energy) and functions of the path (heat, work). A negative enthalpy means an exothermic reaction (energy is released from the system) and a positive means an endothermic process (energy is absorbed). Increase of temperature favours the endothermic process and inhibits the exothermic process. Negative entropy indicates that the system is becoming less chaotic, increased entropy indicates it is becoming more chaotic. Negative Gibbs free energy means a process is spontaneous, positive means a process is not spontaneous.

Organic chemistry: try to find the longest chain of carbons first. This means that the longest chain may not be linear, but that isn't a problem. Learn the order of significance of additional groups, so that you know how to call the substance. Start your numbering at the highest ranked group and work your way down. Keep in mind that double or triple bonds change the name of your substance and that you need to indicate where this bond is, too.

Redox half reactions: double check whether or not you have truly found the strongest oxidant or reductor. Remember that some reactions only occur if another substance is available (will be noted in your table). When constructing the final reaction do not forget to correct for the right amount of electrons. Ultimately you do not have a net gain or loss of electrons.
